Tags Management

Tag management can be thought of as service catalog control. Tag management includes the following processes:

• Applying tags to hypervisors and applications/instances.
• The orchestrator performs instance placement and behavior based on tag matching.
• The service catalog uses the enabled tag categories as a filtering mechanism, enabling the application owner to choose appropriate tags and deployment packages.
• Changing the order of categories or tags changes the displayed order of the service catalog.

Tag management workflow is comprised of:

• Hypervisor tagging: IT administrators can tag hypervisors (locations) any way they want; this is called service level definitions.
• Managing categories.
• Tags under categories.
