The Stratus Cloud Solution Workload Protector (CWP) delivers the right levels of availability at the right time for business applications. The following table contains CWP-related details listed by Stratus Cloud Solution component, description, and attribute.

Component Description Attributes
Selectable Availability Engine Software component that offers higher availability options (fault-tolerant [FT], and High Availability [HA]), and protects the workloads running on a cloud deployment. Offers higher availability HA/FT virtual machines using Stratus software technology. Enables existing applications to move to the cloud without code changes.
Portal Portal into CWP that allows business users to enter their business service level requirements and IT administrators to define infrastructure service options; for example, mission critical and business critical, to offer the business. Simple and easy to use web portal with distinct personas for IT and business users. Customizable to unique business processes and needs; for example, HIPPA and PCI. Dashboard presents the overall availability status for the environment.
Service Catalog Software deployment display mechanism built into the user portal that filters and presents service level options to business users. Tagging mechanism associates infrastructure resources to business application service level options. Translation layer that shields business users from complex underlying infrastructure.
Orchestrator Software component that automates and executes the right operational workflows to reserve and provision resources that match the service levels requested by the business. Automates and orchestrates complex infrastructure operations. Allows multiple levels of availability to be delivered on a single pool of common hardware. Dynamically moves workloads across availability levels; for example, from commodity to mission critical.
Stratus Cloud APIs Restful API interface to CWP. Enables third-party software integration.
